I have found the ones they really love aren’t the ones I spent the most money on. It’s the ones that we play together with. Last weekend, I had 2 of my granddaughters for 2 days while their parents were away. I brought 10 empty medium size boxes. Oh what fun we had. We made a fort, complete with a bridge that they crawls across in the living room without touching the floor. They stacked them and let the dogs knock them down which was so funny. Their imaginations were endless. They never got bored with the boxes. Just kept thinking of different ways to use the boxes. My 8yr old and I spent 2 hrs creating a three story Fairy house, using the boxes and things we found in our craft area. What was fun was the working together….she was the leader and I was her assistant. It was a very blessed weekend.

For last Christmas I gave him one afternoon a month to do baking or crafts with me. This was in addition to the weekends I keep him.
