One of my favorite things to do at Christmas time is to sit beside the Christmas tree looking at the beautiful lights. It reminds me what we’re really celebrating this time of year. We’re welcoming the light of the world, Jesus, to be with us. His light is in our hearts and in our homes this Christmas season.
So as you gather with your children and grandchildren, tell them what the lights on the tree represent. Open your Bible to John 8:12, and let them hear the words of Jesus saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Merry Christmas!
