Family:
I met my wife Debbie while attending Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. We have two children and five grandchildren.
Education:
I graduated from Ozark Christian College in May of 1975 with a Bachelor of Sacred Literature Degree and later earned my Master of Arts (Religion) in Leadership Studies.
Ministries:
In over forty-five years of located ministry, I have served congregations in Oklahoma, Florida, Arkansas and Indiana. God’s calling on my life clearly took place while a student in college to become a preacher of the Gospel. Although I have gone through the motions of retirement, my hearts desire is to continue serving the Lord until I am physically unable or until He comes. The passion of my heart is to continue preaching and teaching God’s Word as opportunities open for me but especially seeking to awaken grandparents to become intentional disciple makers of their grandchildren.
God has already given my wife and I several opportunities to speak to grandparents in congregations about grandparent ministries. Together, in addition to helping congregations develop grandparent ministries, we are also actively involved in a Grief Share ministry in our local congregation.
As a grandparent, my heart’s desire is to reach out to other grandparents to help awaken them to the wonderful opportunity they have to disciple their grandchildren for Christ.
