Our culture regularly separates the young and the old at school, at home, even at church. It’s fun to get together with friends our age. But if we spend all our time with our peers, we’re missing out on an essential part of God’s design — intergenerational connectedness.
Each generation has a God-given role. Grandparents were called to share the wonders of the Lord with their grandchildren. And that’s hard to do when you’re far apart. So try to mix up the seating arrangements at your next family get together. Pull up a chair next to your grandchild, or get rid of the kids table altogether. Your grandkids need you and you need them.
Find out how you can leave a legacy for your grandkids — because grandparenting matters.
