I would have a talk with the grands before I took them home,” You know when you get home it’s really important that you are a good boy for your mommy, She missed you when you are gone etc. etc. When you come to visit me, Johnny, I expect when you get home you’ll be extra good for your mom. etc.” I this doesn’t work then I’d have a long talk with him about his feelings when he goes back home, process, reassure, encourage…..

Yes, family isn’t a privilege… it’s a priority. So, if he’s having a bad week then not seeing his safe people (grandparents) might make him worse off.

But ay, none of know anything. we are all out here trying to figure out what works best.each child is also different and so are us parents. We are biologically the perfect DNA to raise this person.
