Yes that is a great idea! I also mark in my Bible the scriptures I pray for my grands. I put their name and date I pray it for each of them. When they are older I will give them the Bible. Starting work on Bible number 3.

The concept initially came through a ladies conference’s outbreak session last June called “Reigniting your prayer life.” And the take-away for me was to read through scripture, making note of specific verses I could take and then pray back to God for my offspring. I now have over 200 verses from which to draw, giving me freshness each week for which I pray for them. This has been an exciting way to pray, energizing my prayer for them, getting away from praying the same thing, the same way, And with today’s technology of texting, each week, I’ve texted each one, letting them know what scriptures I specifically prayed for them! This has given me exciting and bolder ways of praying God’s Word into their lives without redundancy!!
