Thanks for your comment Ian. This is an excellent testimony to the fact that God can put many people in our childrens’ and grandchildrens’ lives to disciple them. As grandparents, whether we are able to minister to our grandchildren or not, I suggest praying for God to bring other disciples and Christian mentors into their lives.

That is a noble effort, but sometimes, it is impossible. In my case, I have a son who was radically uninterested in spiritual things coming from us and was opposed to any such things between his kids and us. We committed to leaving spiritual things out of our conversations, believing God has others who he and his wife will listen to if they don’t want to receive from us. Lately, my son has allowed us to pray for him and his family, which we take as a big step. We still do not press them with overt Christian themes in our conversations.
