I know, I know. Sometimes growing old doesn’t feel very good, but let me ease your burden with this blessing from the Bible. In Psalm 92, David said, “…the righteous will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green proclaiming, ‘the Lord is upright;’He is my rock.”
So here’s the blessing, grandparent. Are you green and growing or withering on the vine? Look, God has given you these golden years for a reason, to plant the seed of the gospel in your grandchildren and to proclaim the goodness of the Lord. As you do, you’ll stay fresh and green.
