So many awesome ideas. I fully plan on using some of them. Too many to use them all! 🙂 On Good Friday, I always do a “home version” of a Children’s Stations of the Cross where we walk through the events of Holy Week. Then we sit down and have a children’s version of Communion with grape juice and pretzels. While the kids eat, we share the “Legend of the Pretzel”. Then we have some quiet prayer time together with moments of quiet giving the Lord space to speak to our hearts. The next day, Easter Saturday, we make Resurrection Rolls together talking about how Jesus will rise from the dead on Easter. On Easter morning, we have “Sonrise Orange Juice” along with our Resurrection Rolls. (“Sonrise OJ” is OJ with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We watch the ice cream “rise” to the top reminding us of Jesus rising from the dead). NOTE: I admit this is not a meal focused on nutrition!

We make Resurrection Rolls every year and read the Easter story while they’re baking! The kids love it and look forward to it!
