Second generation American. Flying by the seat of my pants! I loved being a father so much ,I wasn’t prepared for what would follow. I have 15 grandchildren. Purpose in life simply increased exponentially . I worry sometimes about “stepping on my children’s toes” when I give advice to the Grands. The one thing that I have learned ,and am still learning, is that no matter what I am telling my Grands, if I deliver it with love , I am not an “old codger”…Im someone they can confide in and someone that is not quite as “hard line” as mom and dad. The world we knew doesn’t exist anymore and the things we considered “absolutes” don’t speak loudly in a culture of many gods. Teach your children ,and grandchildren ,well.. Judges 2:10-12 10After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel. 11Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD and served the Baals. 12They forsook the LORD, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them.
